I have a tama speed cobra. I've always been a tama guy when it comes to pedals. I was just wondering if anyone has gotten a chance to try out the dw direct drive and if so is worth all the hype?

Iv been using my speed cobra for 10 years now and I'm currently looking for a new double pedal. honestly, the best way to see if the pedals are suited to you as every drummer is different is to head down to a music store and try them out.

I've had the old faithful iron cobras for as long as I can remember! Never let me down, and I've broken like 3 9000's just trying them out.... tama fo life [smile] but SJC has some coming out that will be worth checking out for sure!

Tama iron cobras for life! They're really balanced for me and have just been the all around best pedals for me personally, however the music store is the ultimate test to find where you should go! As it's all personal preference. I used to swear up and down I wanted a 9000 until I tried out the iron cobra!

I use Iron Cobras as well. They're the best pedals I've ever played. I had a set of 9000 and they do have as much power as the iron cobras.

No about the DW but your comment was the first one I read on here and was gonna say the exact thing about the tama speed cobra, being the best!
I have always used Yamaha or Premeir before that hardware...have had a DW double bass pedal and it wasnt as well built as these Tama. The longboard is excellent for my big shoes!!

No a lot of the nuts and bolts become lose and they tend to have spring issues.
